Mrs. Haliea Carwile is Flat Rock Elementary's 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year! 🍎✨ Hailea is a dedicated 5th-grade ELA teacher with nine years under her belt. She consistently builds strong relationships with her students, especially those who may need an extra push or encouragement. She believes there are no excuses and sees student challenges not as setbacks, but as opportunities. Helping students cross the finish line and reach their full potential is truly her sweet spot. Her calm, team-player attitude and unwavering dedication make a lasting impact on everyone around her! Mr. Matthew Gibson is the 2026–2027 Support Staff of the Year for FRES!👏✨ For the past eight years on the A3 facilities team, Mr. Gibson has been a self-starter who consistently goes above and beyond for the school community. Before anyone even realizes something needs to be done, he has already stepped up and taken care of it. With 12 years of experience, Ms. Latham is a truly multifaceted educator who brings energy, joy, and heart into everything she does.
