Starr Parents: Registration letters for returning students were mailed today. You will be able to register online or come to our Registration Day on August 8 from 8-11 & 1-4. Once this is complete and fees are paid you will receive your student's teacher information.

Our Meet-the-Teacher Night will be Thursday, August 15 from 5:30-7:00. Please make sure that you have completed the registration process in order to receive your child's teacher information.

Starr Elementary received upgrades this summer. An extended car rider awning, security fencing, and extended sidewalk increases safety and security of the building.




Registration will take place August 8th from 8:00AM-11:00AM & 1:00PM-4:00PM.
Back to School Night is August 15th from 5:30PM-7:00PM

Congratulations to all of our 5th graders! We would like to specially recognize the following top award recipients: Jake Vaughter - Starr Award, Mary Katherine Fortner - American Citizenship Award, Brody Garren - Governor's Citizenship Award, and Gracyn Crisp - DAR Award.





The end of the school year is almost here, and we are making preparations for closing the Health Office. We do not store medicines at the school over the summer. If your child has medication at school, please make arrangements to pick them up by Friday, June 7th. If your child's medicine is not picked up, I will have to destroy it. Just a reminder: Field Day Tuesday will be K4-2, Wednesday 3-5: it is going to be very hot. The students will get wet. Shirts and shorts must be worn at all times. Students staying after field day MUST bring a change of clothes.

BOGO Book Fair will be open next Tuesday and Wednesday during Field Day!

Tonight the Board of Trustees recognize Blake Kelley, Alyssa Wood, Willie Web and their coach, Tonya Fowler, for winning the international SAE Jet Toy Competition last month in Detroit.


April Employee of the Month - Lauren Sutherland. Mrs. Sutherland is an amazing teacher & leader in our school. She has created a STEM program that students of all ages LOVE. She works with our robotics team & helps teachers with LLI lessons for struggling readers. Congratulations!
