๐Candy Cane Grams ๐
Iva Elementary Student Government is hosting a candy cane gram fundraiser in order to raise funds for a service project. Proceeds will be used to send care packages to the residents at the Iva Nursing home. We hope to spread lots of holiday cheer!

STEM day! 3rd-5th grade students applied the tutorial they completed on stop motion animation to create their own balloon float in honor of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. They accomplished this while utilizing a variety of technology skills used in Google slides. When developing their balloon floats, the students had to create the illusion of it flying through the air as it does in a parade. The students finished their project in collaboration with Mrs. Fortner by adjusting the speed of the float and publishing their finished project to the web. The top 5 in each grade are posted in the link.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We are so excited to host our first ever Title I Lunch and Learn Parent Meetings this week. The meetings will be held on Thursday, September 22nd and Friday, September 23rd from 12:00-1:00 at Iva Elementary. Pizza and drinks will be provided. The sessions are broken down by grade level but if you cannot attend the session for your child's grade level, you may attend the other. For the purpose of this meeting, the sessions will be exactly the same. We just wanted to offer more than one day so that hopefully more parents are available to attend. To help us prepare for lunch, please RSVP by emailing Mrs. Dantzler at dantzlerm@acsd3.org or by responding to the survey at the link below. The goal is to start right at 12:00 and end around 12:45 to allow parents time to get back to work!
Survey Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LMV23RH
Please RSVP by Wednesday, September 21st.
During the session this week we will provide you with an overview of our intervention, enrichment, data tracking, and MTSS processes.
We look forward to seeing you this week!
