Mrs. Fortnerโs 3rd graders were hard at work today during math rotations as they reviewed area and multiplication. ๐ฆบ๐ง
Students were challenged to design a blueprint and then construct a building based on the design. At the teacherโs table, Mrs. Fortner, the โProject Managerโ, led students in a review activity using blocks and pop-its. What a wonderful, hands-on way to review area! ๐

Bringing learning to life in Mrs. Newtonโs classes! ๐
After reading several Jack-o-lantern stories, digging deep with pumpkin related vocabulary, and writing an informational essay on how to carve a pumpkin, students worked together to design a face, remove the pulp, seeds, and fibrous strands, and carve the pumpkin! Afterwards, each class gave their Jack-o-lantern a name. Meet King Bob and Queen Dracula!
