A new awning for the bus rider line was recently added to Flat Rock. A special outdoor classroom is an ongoing project, thanks to grants from Michelin. Landscaping and a new garden were recently added, with plans for future tables and additional landscaping.

Our Deb Madden was honored tonight at the Anderson 3 Board of Trustees meeting for her 28 years of service to the students of Anderson 3! Congratulations Mrs. Madden!
Our Tiger Award winner this year is....Amira Hjiri! The Tiger award is Flat Rock's highest award and is presented to the 5th grade student who exemplifies the Flat Rock spirit!
Our DAR winner for 2019 is Dakota Richard! The Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Award is presented to an 5th grade student who displays honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism. Congrats, Dakota!

Congratulations to our 59 students receiving A Honor Roll medals and 100 students receiving AB Honor Roll medals at the Flat Rock Elementary Awards Day today!
Flat Rock awards day schedule is as follows on Monday, June 3rd: kindergarten graduation at 8:30, fifth grade at 9:30, third and fourth grade at 10:30, and first and second grade at 11:30.
Tomorrow, Monday, June 3rd, we will have our awards celebrations. In an effort to minimize traffic congestion, we will allow cars to park around the school and in grassy areas. For kindergarten and fifth grade celebrations, you will enter through the front door. For all other grade levels, you may enter through the front door or gym door.
We celebrated Mrs. Madden today. She was honored with a parade and the classes filled up a bucket with books for her Grandma library. We love you, Mrs. Madden!

Students who are part of our Michelin partnership, along with their mentors, enjoyed a great field trip to Clemson today.
