And we canโt forget about our visit from our favorite, Carita Rose Coffee! โ๏ธ

๐ ๐ต Our 4th grade students participated in a fun, hands-on project where they created a mini store with items and prices. They used their stores to create and solve two-step problems. This activity helped students apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in practical situations, solve multi-step word problems, and practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Wow! Way to go, 4th grade!

Anderson 3 is proud to partner with local emergency services for our annual school safety walkthroughs. Representatives from Anderson County Emergency Management, Anderson County Fire, including surrounding volunteer fire stations, Anderson County EMS, Iva Police Department, and Anderson County Technical Services, toured our campuses this week with district leaders. Together, they reviewed changes, noted strengths, and identified ways to further strengthen our crisis plans and safety measures. ๐๐๐
What makes Anderson 3 unique is our commitment to inviting emergency personnel into our schools to provide direct feedback on our procedures. This collaboration has become a yearly practice and continues to shape how we refine and improve safety across the district.
This yearโs walkthrough highlighted the addition of even more safety cameras, fencing, equipment and other improvements. Dr. Nixon, Deputy Superintendent, mentioned this year's application for state Building Safety Grant Funds included ballistic film for exterior windows and doors.
We are grateful for the expertise and dedication of our community partners as we work together to keep our students and staff safe. ๐ซ๐
