Spanish classes at Crescent have been as fun as a fiesta! 🎉 In Señora McComas’s class, students explored travel and location vocabulary while participating in an escape room around town. They followed pistas (clues), cracked codes, and solved acertijos (puzzles) to reach their final prize: ¡chocolate delicioso! 🍫

In Señora Jenny’s class, students shared facts about themselves solamente en español. Each one memorized and presented four sentences for their project—a true display of esfuerzo (effort) and confidence!

Between the academic rigor and the excitement of learning a new idioma, our Crescent students are proudly saying: “¡Nos encanta la clase de español!”✨

✨ Creativity is ALIVE in Crescent’s Social Studies Department! ✨

From AP Human Geography to World History, our students are learning in unforgettable ways:
🌍 AP Human Geography: Students designed country profiles and took part in a mock “speed dating” session to find the perfect international match.
🍼 Psychology: Future parents in training! Students cared for “egg babies” for a week to explore parenting styles and environmental influences.
🚢 World History: Budding historians created profile pages for European explorers—complete with portraits, fun facts, and perfectly placed “location tags” on a giant wall display.

Hands-on learning, creativity, and critical thinking—this is Social Studies at Crescent! 💡📚

Anderson 3 is proud to partner with local emergency services for our annual school safety walkthroughs. Representatives from Anderson County Emergency Management, Anderson County Fire, including surrounding volunteer fire stations, Anderson County EMS, Iva Police Department, and Anderson County Technical Services, toured our campuses this week with district leaders. Together, they reviewed changes, noted strengths, and identified ways to further strengthen our crisis plans and safety measures. 🚓🚑🚒

What makes Anderson 3 unique is our commitment to inviting emergency personnel into our schools to provide direct feedback on our procedures. This collaboration has become a yearly practice and continues to shape how we refine and improve safety across the district.

This year’s walkthrough highlighted the addition of even more safety cameras, fencing, equipment and other improvements. Dr. Nixon, Deputy Superintendent, mentioned this year's application for state Building Safety Grant Funds included ballistic film for exterior windows and doors.

We are grateful for the expertise and dedication of our community partners as we work together to keep our students and staff safe. 🏫🔒

In this lab, Dr. Kostik cooked up some serious science fun by having her students dive into the wild world of enzymes — straight from a chicken liver! The challenge? See how these hardworking enzymes react when the heat (or cold!) is on. Students got a front-row seat to the breakdown in real time, watching how temperature can shake up enzyme reactions. It was hands-on, fast-paced, and just a liver-bit messy — but the students were absolutely liver’ing their best science lives!
