A3 Test Security Policy
Policy ILB Test Assessment Administration 1/15
Purpose: To establish the basic structure for test assessment administration in the district.
All mandatory tests administered by or through the state board of education to the students of the district will be administered in accordance with state law and regulations. Violation of any state law or regulation or any of the guidelines in this policy will subject the individual to liability and may lead to criminal proceedings (resulting in fines and/or imprisonment), termination, suspension or revocation of administrative and/or teaching credentials.
Individuals will adhere to all procedures specified in all operating manuals governing the mandated assessment programs. The board and state regulation specifically prohibit the use of current tests as instructional tools.
Policy ILB-R The district must provide for the security of state and district testing and the storage of all secure tests and tests materials before,during and after testing.
All mandated state testing security procedures must be followed.
No employee of the district will knowingly or willfully commit security violations as outlined in state regulations.
A3 Electronic Devices Policy for Testing
Student Policy for Electronic Devices:
During statewide testing, students are not permitted to use or be in possession of any electronic device (e.g., cell phone, smartphone/watch camera, PDA, playback device) that could allow them to view, access, retain, or transmit information for any state-mandated assessment. Students who use an electronic device for medical purposes (e.g., glucose monitoring, cardiac monitoring) may be allowed access to the device(s) during testing.
Anderson Threeโs student policy for electronic devices will be that all students must place electronic devices in their bookbag and should be placed away from their desk preferably at the front of the classroom. Students should be reminded that they are not allowed to use electronic devices once they enter the classroom. Students should not be in possession of devices during breaks or after testing in the testing room.
Teachers, Test Administrators, and Monitors should place their phones in their desks and should be turned off. Teachers, TAโs and monitors should not have a computer that is turned on during testing. Smart watches should also be turned off and placed inside the desk.
