Greetings from Iva Elementary! It is the time of year for our students to participate in our state tests, SC READY. For the 2025-2026 school year, third, fourth, and fifth grade students will take the ELA and Math portions of SC READY. This year, embedded field testing items have been included in the Math portion of the test. Because of this, we are required to administer the Math test in two parts on back to back days. In addition, SC Ready Science will be given to fourth graders. A detailed calendar of testing and end of the year dates are provided on the back.
It is very important as we approach the end of the school year that we really prepare our students to be as successful as possible. Attendance is crucial as state testing draws near. Please make every effort to schedule appointments around the testing calendar and that there are no early dismissals during testing days since there is no time limit to the test. We ask that you take additional steps at home to get our students off to a good day. Please make sure they are getting an adequate amount of rest, following their normal routines, and understand the importance of doing their best to show all they have learned this school year.
