Coach Craft

Congratulations to this week's #A3AllStar, Mr. Jeff Craft! 🌟

Jeff joined the social studies department at Crescent High School in 2002 after working in higher education for 13 years. After teaching for 14 years, he then moved into the Athletic Director role in 2016. As Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, Jeff works countless hours, pushing Tiger Athletics to the next level while maintaining his duties as an administrator, coach, and facilities director.

"I am a proud product of the Starr-Iva area and love this community. My wife Shawn teaches at Iva Elementary and holds our family together for sure. Our son Eric graduated from Crescent and just graduated with honors from Wofford, and Ellie will graduate from Crescent this June! Luckily, Ellie and Eric both take after their Mother. Teaching and coaching is my true passion."

-"What do you love most about your position?"

"I LOVE seeing our kids and coaches be successful. Just seeing them smile, celebrating each other's big and small victories, and learning from the challenges of competition makes the time and energy associated with the job worth it. Coaching and working in the field of education is a mission field. Seeing a young person grow and succeed is the greatest feeling in the world for someone who views this as a true calling."

Jeff's nomination included, "Jeff continuously goes above and beyond, putting in hours that many never realize. He is an absolute workhorse for CHS and our entire community. Jeff is a life-long Crescent Tiger and a true #A3AllStar!"

Thank you, Coach Craft, for going above and beyond the students-athletes, coaches, and staff of Anderson 3. πŸ₯Ž πŸ’›
