The Anderson 3 Board of Trustees approved the proposed 2026-2027 General Fund Budget during its June 8, 2026, board meeting, continuing the District's commitment to investing in students and employees while maintaining strong financial stewardship.

For the third consecutive year, the proposed budget includes zero millage increase. The proposed budget includes significant investments in employee compensation designed to recruit and retain high-quality educators and support staff.

Budget Highlights:

-Starting Teacher Salary of $54,000
-$2,000 Salary Increase for Teachers
-$2,000 Salary Increase for Administrators
-3% Salary Increase for Support Staff
-Step Increase for All Employees
-Additional Special Education Teaching Position at Starr Elementary
-Increased Funding for Contracted School Resource Officers
-Maintenance of the District's 25% Fund Balance Goal

The approved General Fund Budget totals $33,495,000, representing an increase of $1,304,350 (4.05%) over the previous year.

Superintendent Kathy Hipp expressed her appreciation for the Board's continued support.

The proposed budget will now be presented to the Anderson County Board of Education for final approval on June 15, 2026.
