Superintendent Hipp recognized several employees for 10+ years of service and dedication to Anderson School District 3.

Crescent Financial Recognition

Financial

The Board recognized the opening of Crescent Financial, a student-run financial literacy partnership between Crescent High School and Upstate Federal Credit Union.

Mr. Hoyt Bray of Upstate Federal Credit Union was recognized for the partnership and support provided to students. Superintendent Hipp noted that the initiative was developed to provide students with hands-on financial literacy experiences and to help them learn banking operations and personal finance skills.

Lilly Cook was recognized as the Founding Student Leader of Crescent Financial for her role in launching the program. Mrs. Hipp also acknowledged Lilly's recent scholarship achievement and future enrollment at Presbyterian College.

Starr-Iva Band Recognition

BandThe Board recognized members of the Starr-Iva Middle School Band for their accomplishments during the 2025-2026 school year under the leadership of first-year Band Director Mr. Wilcox.

The Board congratulated the students and Mr. Wilcox on a successful year and recognized the program's growth and accomplishments.

Bus Driver of the Month

Retiree

Superintendent Hipp recognized Kyle Barton as the April Bus Driver of the Month.

Mr. Barton was commended not only for his work as a bus driver but also for the support he provides to special education students at Flat Rock Elementary School. Mrs. Hipp shared that Mr. Barton has played a significant role in helping students gain independence and successfully participate in school activities
