During the April meeting of the Anderson 3 Board of Trustees, the board approved the administration’s recommendation for Mr. Wesley Carwile to serve as the new Assistant Principal of Iva Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year.
Mr. Carwile is a graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Literacy. He also holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.
He brings a strong background in instruction and leadership, having taught 4th and 5th-grade English Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies, as well as 6th and 8th-grade Math. Mr. Carwile currently serves as an Assistant Principal in Greenwood School District 52 and will now join the Anderson 3 team.
Mr. Carwile and his wife, a 4th-grade teacher at Flat Rock Elementary, reside in Iva with their two children. We are excited to welcome him back to our A3 community!
Carwile replaces Hanna West, the current Assistant Principal of Iva Elementary, who will be transitioning to be closer to family.
