Anderson School District Three has once again proven that being small and rural doesn’t mean small results. According to SchoolDigger.com’s 2025 South Carolina District Rankings, Anderson 3 ranked #6 out of 75 districts statewide, placing among the very best in academics and student growth.
Across the district, students performed exceptionally in both English Language Arts and Math:
📚 3rd Grade ELA & Math – Both met the SCDE Vision 2030 benchmark of 75% Meets & Exceeds
✍️ English 2 – Ranked #2 in South Carolina
🧬 Biology 1 – Ranked #4 in South Carolina
✨ ELA Overall (Grades 3–6) – Top 8 in SC
➗ Math Overall (Grades 3, 4, 6 & 7) – Top 8 in SC
Anderson 3 Superintendent Kathy Hipp credited the district’s teachers, staff, and leadership for staying focused on quality instruction and relationships that drive results.

With multiple schools exceeding the state’s “Meets and Exceeds” goals, Anderson 3 stands as a model of what’s possible when a district refuses to let size or poverty define outcomes.
