Board Member Recognition
At the October Meeting, Board Secretary Larry Holbrook and Trustee Marty Watt were recognized as moving to Level 2 in the South Carolina School Boards Association's Boardmanship Institute Training Program. Congratulations, Mr. Holbrook and Mr. Watt!
Special Presentation
In honor of breast cancer awareness month, the board presented the family of the late Vickie Gambrell, a long-time employee of Iva Elementary and Anderson 3, with a bench gifted to the school in her memory. The bench, paired with a bookmobile project with the school, will give students, staff, and the community another place to read to and with students.
The board hopes the bench will serve as a reminder of Mrs. Vickie's love and service to the school she loved so much.
