Mr. Smith is the 9th-Grade counselor at Crescent High School and has been in the guidance department for four years.
"What led you to your current position, what do you like about it?"
"I grew up in this community, and I see the difficult situations many of our students deal with. I want to be a positive force in their lives and to help them navigate the obstacles in their paths. I genuinely enjoy having the opportunity to be kind to students each day. Little acts of kindness truly can change the trajectory of students who are struggling."

"No two days or two students are the same. There are times when we celebrate, mourn, and stress all in the same week, but the relationships we get to build with some great young people make it all worth it."
