Bruce Alverson has served as Director of Technology for Anderson School District Three since 2014. Prior to working in Anderson District Three, Mr. Alverson worked as a Network Specialist in Anderson School District One and as Senior Network Analyst at Kemet Electronics Corporation in Simpsonville, SC. Mr. Alverson also taught computer programming and application classes while an instructor at Greenville Technical College. Mr. Alverson has over 30 years experience in networking and has managed all phases of network and PC support, network design and upgrades and administration of network applications.
As Director of Technology for Anderson School District Three, Mr. Alverson is responsible for designing, configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing network systems, subsystems and servers; overseeing the server room operation and environment; providing information, direction and recommendations regarding network installations and configurations including wireless systems; resolving network operational issues; and providing technical support to District and site staff.
Mr. Alverson has an Associate of Arts degree in Business and Computer Programming and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Clemson University.
Mr. Alverson has been married to his wife, Jan, for twenty-nine years and has two children: Riley and Emily.
