Welcome to my classroom. I am so excited to be teaching your child this year. This is my 9th year at Flat Rock Elementary and I have been teaching 4th grade since our school opened. This is my 23rd year in education and my 16th year in Anderson Three. For the first eight years in District Three, I taught Special Education in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science and Social Studies at Starr-Iva Middle.
I graduated from Lander University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. In 2004, I earned my first Masters in Educational Technology from Lesley University . In 2010, I added a second Masters in Teacher Leadership from Grand Canyon University. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I am also certified to teach Special Education with a concentration in Emotionally Disabled individuals. I am also endorsed to teach Gifted and Talented students.
I have been married to my husband, Kenneth, for 18 years. He is a Crescent graduate and he is residential and commercial builder. We have three children. Jordan is a rising 11th grader and Morgan is a rising 9th grade at Crescent High, and Bryson is in the 4th grade at Flat Rock Elementary. We attend Providence Baptist Church and we are active in our Youth and Children's groups.
