Mrs. Harbert's class mentor text for the week was "A Bad Case of Stripes". The main character loves lima beans but resists the urge in order to ensure her friends like her. Through this book, her class explored character traits and theme. They learned to "Be Yourself" as they enjoyed a scoop of lima beans!

All students are to be on time to school every day. This means they must be in their seat at 7:45 am. Every minute of instructional time is important. Please make sure to get them here on time. Thank you.

Back to School Night will take place Wednesday, August 14th, from 5-6PM! On this day, you will be able to visit your child's classroom and meet the teacher. Please mark your calendars for SC Ready state testing. Test dates are May 13-14 (ELA), May 16 (Math), and May 21 (4th grade Science and 5th Grade Social Studies). It is very important that students be at school on time each day.
Anderson School District Three is holding a fundraiser for the March of Dimes. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Cheryl Smith at 348-6196 by Monday, March 11, 2019. The t-shirt is white and costs $15. Please add $1 for each X added to the size after XL. All proceeds from the shirt sale will be given to the March of Dimes. Wear your shirt and join faculty from Anderson Three at the March of Dimes walk on April 27, 2019.

Good Hope Presbyterian Church recently donated $533.00 to the Weekend Snackpack Program. This donation was matched by an anonymous donor and will benefit the students of Flat Rock and Iva Elementary! Starr Baptist Church also supplies approximately 20 snackpacks each week to the students of Starr Elementary. Anderson Three is blessed and truly thankful for the love and support of our schools from the Starr and Iva communities.

Santa made a visit to 2nd grade during the Polar Express at Iva Elementary tonight.
Anderson School District 3 will be on a 2 hour delay Tuesday, December 11th.
All of the Anderson School Districts will meet at 5am tomorrow morning (12/11) to make a final decision on operations for Tuesday. We will post on the app and Facebook if there are any changes to the school schedule.

Flu shot online consent forms are due by this Thursday, October 25. Paper consent forms are due by October 30 at 2:00 pm. Forms are available in the school office.
WYFF has incorrectly stated that all Anderson County districts are closed tomorrow. At this time, all Anderson County districts are open except Anderson 5. The other districts, including Anderson 3, plan to be on regular schedule tomorrow. The superintendents continue to monitor weather conditions and will have a conference call Thursday morning at 5 a.m. Any changes based on weather conditions will be announced after that call.
