Starr Tigerbots Invited to Represent the Southeast in Australia!

The Tigerbots are made up of 4 fourth graders and 4 fifth graders from Starr Elementary. They placed first in the district robotics competition and advanced as one of the 5 teams at the Tri-County Qualifier to the Regional Tournament at Mauldin High School. Out of 33 teams at the Regional Tournament in Mauldin, they won 1st place in Core Values and advanced to the State Competition in Columbia. As a result of being one of the 24 teams at State, they were invited to apply for the role as the South Carolina Ambassador at the 2020 FIRST LEGO League Asia Pacific Open Invitational in Sydney, Australia on 3-5 July, 2020. After submitting a video and application, they interviewed with a panel of judges for a spot to represent SC in Australia. This past weekend, we were notified that the Tigerbots have been chosen as the SC Ambassadors and will travel to Australia for the three day tournament in July!
